Sexual safety and consent
Do not share sexually explicit or pornographic material, sexual solicitation, non-consensual intimate images, sexual threats or exploitation. This includes manipulated or synthetic intimate depictions and threats to publish them. Someone consenting to a photograph or private message is not necessarily consenting to public distribution.
Adult nudity is prohibited except for limited nonsexual breastfeeding, childbirth, medical or health education and paintings or sculptures. Contextual exceptions do not permit sexual exploitation or harassment. Ordinary nonsexual fitness and swimwear are allowed. Child sexual abuse and exploitation are prohibited without exception.
Violence, dangerous conduct and self-harm
Do not make credible threats, coordinate violence, recruit for violent organisations, encourage terrorism, facilitate trafficking or offer instructions or transactions intended to cause unlawful harm. Do not glorify real-world suffering or post gratuitous gore. Limited public-interest documentation requires context and must not promote violence.
Do not encourage suicide, self-injury or dangerous challenges. Supportive discussion, recovery experiences and requests for help must remain non-instructional and respectful. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services; a Yupzap report is not a substitute for emergency help.
Harassment, hate and private information
Do not stalk, intimidate, sexually harass, coordinate abuse or attack people with dehumanising or violent hatred based on characteristics such as caste, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation. Criticism of ideas is different from threats or targeted abuse.
Do not expose private addresses, identity documents, financial details, phone numbers or intimate information to harm someone or without an appropriate right to share it. Obtain permission before sharing another person’s private conversation. Public availability alone does not justify targeted doxxing.
Authenticity, deception and synthetic media
Do not impersonate people or organisations, fabricate credentials, run scams, solicit login codes or manipulate engagement through deceptive accounts. Do not intentionally mislead people about emergencies, voting processes or other matters in a way that creates a serious risk of harm.
Clearly identify realistic synthetic or materially manipulated media when it could be mistaken for a genuine person or event. Do not remove required labels or provenance information to deceive. Parody, satire and creative edits need clear context; they do not permit sexual abuse, fraud, threats or infringement.
Rights, commercial activity and platform integrity
Only share material you have the right to use. Respect copyright, privacy and other legal rights. Promotions and endorsements must not conceal a material commercial relationship where disclosure is required. Do not offer unlawful goods or services or facilitate fraud.
Do not send unsolicited bulk promotions, harvest user data, enumerate accounts, exploit vulnerabilities, bypass security controls or evade an enforcement action. Public content is not permission for automated personal-data collection. Normal sharing of individual public links is permitted.
Report a concern safely
Use the Report action available on the content or account, or email [email protected]. Provide the username, content link or identifier, an explanation and the relevant time or context. Identify immediate safety risks clearly. You can also block an account to limit further interaction.
Do not download, forward or email suspected child sexual abuse material. For intimate-image abuse, send identifiers and a description rather than circulating the material. Do not share passwords, one-time codes or private encryption keys. A report may intentionally disclose selected content to reviewers.
Reports should be made honestly. Coordinating false reports, retaliation against a reporter and attempts to discover a reporter’s private identity are prohibited.
Decisions, explanations and appeals
A report alone does not prove a violation. Review should consider the material, context, severity, recurrence and applicable law. Action may include removal, reduced access, feature restrictions, temporary suspension or account termination. Severe exploitation or urgent harm may require immediate protective action.
Where lawful and appropriate, we explain a restriction and offer review. Use Account status if available, or email support with the decision and why you believe it is wrong. Include relevant context or permission. Successful appeals can lead to correction or restoration where legally permitted.
Moderation is not infallible and cannot guarantee that prohibited material never appears. Review processes do not waive your applicable statutory grievance, appeal, consumer or court remedies. Binding legal restrictions may limit what can be restored or disclosed.
Creator guidelines
Giving expert advice (for example on health, law or money) or working as an influencer requires verification on Yupzap. Breaking the rules leads to strikes. First strike: a warning. Second strike: the content is taken down and posting is limited for 7 days. Third strike: the account is banned. A banned account stays visible and can still chat and call.
Scams and restricted commerce
Do not solicit passwords, sign-in codes, recovery keys or advance payments through deception. Fraudulent investments, fake support accounts, pyramid schemes and fabricated employment or prize offers are prohibited. Do not promise guaranteed returns or impersonate a licensed adviser.
Do not facilitate unlawful trade, trafficking or the sale of prohibited goods or services. Content promoting regulated goods must comply with applicable age, licence and advertising restrictions. Yupzap does not provide a general authorisation to trade merely by allowing an account to post.
Dangerous instructions and misleading public information
Do not organise violent wrongdoing, share operational instructions to facilitate serious harm, encourage suicide or self-injury, or exploit a person in distress. Supportive discussion, prevention and recovery resources must be distinguished from encouragement or graphic sensationalism.
Do not deceptively impersonate public authorities, fabricate emergency instructions or spread false voting procedures intended to prevent participation. News reporting and criticism are considered in context. Sensitive health, financial and legal decisions should not rely solely on an unverified social post.
