SECURITY, IN PLAIN WORDS

Your conversations.
Your peace of mind.

Understand how your information is protected, make informed privacy choices, and know where to turn when something feels wrong.

END-TO-END ENCRYPTION

Between you
and your people.

End-to-end encryption means the intended participants hold the keys needed to read a conversation. It is different from encrypting the connection to a server or protecting a file stored on a phone.

Yupzap private chats, attachments, voice calls and video calls are end-to-end encrypted. Only the participants hold the keys to their content. Yupzap cannot read those private messages or listen to those calls.

01 / VERIFY

Know who is there.

Where your app offers a security code or QR comparison, compare it with the other person using a trusted channel. An unexpected change is a reason to check before sending something sensitive.

02 / PROTECT

Your phone matters.

Use a screen lock and keep your operating system updated. Encryption cannot prevent someone from reading a conversation on an unlocked phone or a recipient from keeping a copy.

Device storage ↗
03 / CHOOSE

Share with intention.

Public profiles, posts, Zaps and Loops follow their audience settings. Private-chat encryption does not make your public social content private.

PRACTICAL WAYS TO STAY SAFER

A little caution.
A lot of control.

BLOCK UNWANTED CONTACT

Choose who gets close.

Use blocking and message-request controls for unwanted contact. Report threats, impersonation and harassment through the app.

KEEP YOUR CODES PRIVATE

Never share a login code.

Be cautious of urgent money requests, unfamiliar links or someone asking for your OTP. Verify unusual requests directly with the person you know.

REPORT WITH CONTEXT

Help us review a concern.

Reporting may deliberately share selected content with Yupzap. Review what will be submitted. A report is different from access to an entire private conversation.
